I started Fifth and Oak and designed this program to help students and families from all ends of the spectrum, from private schools to local communities just like mine growing up. We believe that every student-athlete who aspires to take their talents to next level should have the same opportunities. Because sport is for everyone. And everyone deserves the same access to sport.

Dustin Snyder
Dustin has spent over two decades guiding student-athletes and their families through the college admissions and recruiting process. Growing up in western Pennsylvania and competing in one of the region’s strongest athletic programs, he understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities of the journey.
20+ years of experience in athletic coaching, counseling, and admissions support
Former coach and mentor across multiple sports, including football and wrestling, at top Los Angeles area schools
Advanced education: Master’s Degree in Sport Management (UCLA), Bachelor’s in History and Political Science (University of North Texas), and College Counseling Certification (UCLA Extension)
Trusted advisor known for blending practical coaching insight with a counselor’s empathy
Today, Dustin brings his passion, expertise, and personal experience to help every student-athlete, regardless of background, find the right path to college and beyond. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two senior dogs.

Mae is a dedicated counselor with over 20 years of experience guiding students through the college admissions process. She is passionate about helping young people discover their strengths, set goals, and find the right academic and athletic opportunities.

Chris has more than 15 years of experience supporting student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field. With a background in athletic administration and academic counseling, he specializes in helping families balance academics with athletic goals while finding the right college fit.
